Dr Carissa Phillips
A graduate of the University of Queensland, Dr Carissa Phillips is locally educated and trained, gaining various facets of surgical experience throughout her career in South East Queensland hospitals, including Nambour and Logan Hospitals, the Princess Alexandra Hospital, The Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital, Greenslopes Private Hospital and Mater Health Services.
A Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in General Surgery, Dr Phillips was a Breast and Endocrine Fellow at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital during 2009. Since 2010 she has cared for patients at the Mater Private Hospital ensuring they receive best practice multidisciplinary care and is a full member of BreastSurgANZ. Dr Phillips’ considered approach ensures patients feel fully informed throughout their entire cancer treatment.
Outside of work Dr Phillips spends time with her husband, daughters and many different animals.
